PT Garuda Indonesia in collaboration with the leasing and financing company from Kuwaiti, Aviation Lease and Finance Company (ALAFCO) for permbelian new fleet. Garuda Indonesia will use the facilities of the Middle East's corporate finance to purchase four Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that will serve long-haul flights. According to President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Emirsyah Satar, four aircraft are part of the 10 aircraft of the same type are ordered from Boeing. Two aircraft will begin to be operated for the route Jakarta-Jeddah in July 2013, specifically to serve Umrah flight. This aircraft has a capacity of as many as 314 passenger seats. Consists of 8 seats for First Class, 38 seats for Business Class, and 268 seats for Economy Class. The two other aircraft will arrive in late 2013. Two of these aircraft will serve the route Sydney-Jakarta-London began the fourth quarter of 2013.

Chairman of ALAFCO, Ahmad A Alzabin, admitted that the signing of cooperation with Garuda Indonesia is the first transaction did in Indonesia. "We hope this cooperation can continue, in line with Garuda Indonesia's growth plans in the future," he said.

Financing will be provided by ALAFCO to Garuda Indonesia is using sharia scheme. However, the management of both companies declined to mention contract used and the results of the two companies.
