Indonesia Aviation. Rusdi Kirana, the boss of Lion Air airlines, being a special guest at the France Presidential Palace to approach for the purchase of 234 units of new planes made by Airbus. The aircraft purchase contract signing was attended by the President of France. Total number of aircraft purchase was pretty horrendous as this being the largest number in the history of the company's purchase of Airbus planes. Moreover, because the previous two years, Lion Air has purchased 230 new aircraft from Boeing, the amount of which is also fantastic, up to President Barack Obama also feel the need to attend the signing of a contract to purchase hundreds of planes between Lion Air and Boeing Company.

Lion Air makes a surprise anymore. After buying 230 Boeing aircraft in 2011, the airline owned by Rusdi Kirana is now once again buying 234 new aircraft. This time, Lion Air to buy planes from Airbus, arch-rivals Boeing. Not only that, Rusdi Kirana who accidentally fly to France for the purchase of this fleet, able to bring the President of France, Francois Hollande, to witness the signing of the purchase of hundreds of the aircraft. And even more amazing, Rusdi Kirana do all of that in the French Presidential Palace.

For several years, lunge Rusdi Kirana is being in the spotlight. Nothing wrong when Rusdi's name has been entered as one of Indonesia's richest man in 2012. Rusdi's journey up the career in the airline business is actually not designed from scratch. In adolescence, Rusdi was a typewriter salesman. Got a warm welcome from the President of France in a room that is usually only reserved for the country's leaders, the billionaire who is not shy to be proud when he saw the red carpet that was held to greet him. "I am grateful to be able to come here, but I am more interested to the house that I built for staff and their families," said Rusdi, as quoted from page Reuters, Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

The house in question is Lion Air Village is now being built by Rusdi. Housing is designed for hostel accommodation for 3,000 people and 1,000 small houses around the Jakarta airport. In the dormitory, there were 10,000 people, including employees of Lion Air will stay. The development process has now completed 90%. Despite having bought hundreds of aircraft from two world renowned manufacturers, Boeing and Airbus, Rusdi apparently chose to fly using flight in economy class and a lot more talk about his simple life. "I prefer to fly in economy class, but sometimes it makes producers may be uncomfortable. I do not want to disappoint the manufacturers," said Kirana.

Although it continues to expand its business into the global arena, Lion Air was still had problems with the company's image. Lion Air is known as the airline with the flight schedule is often too late. In addition, Lion Air also has a ban on flying to Europe due to concerns on aviation safety factor. Rusdi said the judgment was not fair. "This move does not change anything although I buy Airbus planes. However, I hope things will continue to run," he said.
