Government of Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, will soon realize to establish a flight school which is planned to be launched in July 2013. Head of Public Relations the Government of Musi Banyuasin Regency, Dicky Meiriando, said that the flight school to be established in the region of Sekayu Airfield was named "Wings Flying School" (WFS).

The school are expected to educate prospective of professional young pilots are able to meet the needs of domestic airline services industry is on the rise. n addition to producing the pilot, flight school of WFS Sekayu is expected to develop educational for mechanics and flight attendants.

According to Dicky, to set up a flight school in the regency, some time ago Lion Air management group had a meeting with the Regent Banyuasin, Pahri Azhari, and other officials from relevant agencies. During the meeting, the group management Lion Air has chosen Musi Banyuasin regency as the location of flight school because geographically considered strategic enough.

Lion Air requires an additional 240 pilots per year. Expected by the operation of the school, then the need of pilot can be met by the youth of Musi Banyuasin regency and from other areas in South Sumatra, said Dicky.
