In an effort to expand its network and improve service to customers, Sriwijaya Air to open
direct flight route from Jakarta to Ternate, Friday, April 12, 2013. The flight from Jakarta to Ternate operated using Boeing 737-500W. Departure from Jakarta at 05.00 local time and arrived in Ternate at 10:25 local time. And the Ternate-Jakarta route, departure from Ternate will be conducted at 11:05 am local time, and arrive in Jakarta at 12:30 local time. The flights will be served with frequency one time daily.
Opening of direct flights from Jakarta to Ternate expected to ease travel for
Sriwijaya Air customers who previously had to do transit in Makassar. So far, the number of customers who will fly from Jakarta to Ternate quite high. "For the sake of ease and improve services, we operate a direct flight from Jakarta to Ternate without having to transit in Makassar," said Agus Soedjono, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications of Sriwijaya Air, in Jakarta, Monday, April 8, 2013.
