Aviation News. Red Wings, airline from Russian has been sold by its owner with a very low price, only 1 rubles. Red Wings owned by billionaire Russians, Alexander Lebedev. Lebedev was deliberately sold his airline with an amazingly cheap price because he feel disappointed that the Russian government has issued a ban on flying for the Red Wings airline. The flight ban imposed because the government had already identified the number of violations committed by the Red Wings, the latest of which was the collapse of a Tu-204 jet plane owned by the airline. In addition, the Red Wings airline have lack of financial resources for the sustainability of its operations.

Russian billionaire, Alexander Lebedev, has been selling the Red Wings airline with a value of only 1 ruble, after a fatal accident that befell the Tupolev jet owned by the airline is based in Moscow. "Yes, I have signed the papers to sell 100% stake in Red Wings worth 1 ruble to a group of investors. I did everything I could to save the company," wrote Lebedev, quoted from money.msn, Saturday, April 6, 2013.

In social media of twitter, Lebedev admitted that he took the decision to sell the Red Wings because he felt disappointed to the Russian government, following ban for his airline. The Civil Aviation Agency of Russia in the beginning of February 2013, has suspended operations Red Wings. Ban issued after one of the aircraft owned by airlines Tu-204 crashed while landing at Vnukovo Airport, Moscow, on December 29, 2012. The incident killed five aircraft crews. A Russian airplane pilot was arrested for being responsible for the accident.

Aviation authorities identified several violations that have been made by the Red Wings and assess the company does not have sufficient financial resources to maintain the fleet.

In February 2013, Lebedev declared a protest. According to him, there is no reason for aviation authorities to stop operations the Red Wings which flies to several cities in Russia. Red Wings currently has eight aircraft Tu-204.
